Getting started

Game version 1.2.7. Prose checked against 1.2.5.

Begin with the ways to connect and accounts and character slots, then create a character and take a short first expedition. If something goes wrong, see reporting bugs.

Create a character

Your race and class influence creation values and later growth. Compare the class catalog and race catalog before choosing. Not every race can take every class; the creation screen is the final authority on compatible choices.

A class changes how you spend resources in combat. Martial abilities often use stamina, while spells use mana. Read the actual spell or ability description before buying or using it.

Learn the controls

This is a menu-driven game. Read the location's current keys rather than memorizing a key from another menu. Main Street can use district, classic or screen-reader presentation, and more actions appear as your character progresses.

Use Status to review your health, equipment and Mental. Stop at the Healer before an expedition when you need treatment. Visiting the Level Master is part of character progression.

Pick a pace

Single-player gives you your own world and save. Online play shares a world with other players and continuing NPC life. Daily and social systems can behave differently between the modes; the online guide explains what to expect.
